If you consider the average time you loose from your life each day you continue to smoke it should be a no brainer to stop smoking today. For a pack a day smoker you are losing 40 minutes each and every day and this doesn’t take into account the quality of life you are missing out on.
There are countless things you can be doing instead of smoking. The excuses have to end at some point if you are ever going to quit. How many times are you going to say tomorrow is the day or I will quit next month? You are not alone, many smokers have gone through the exact same thing but you have to make a choice. Are you going to continue to be a smoker or are you going to be a non-smoker?
The things you tell yourself each day will direct your actions and how you live your life. In the past if you wanted something bad enough you worked your fingers to the bone, burning the candle at both ends just to get it… Why is stopping smoking so difficult? It is because you aren’t approaching quitting with the right mentality. You are giving it power over you that you shouldn’t; smoking is not improving the quality of your life, helping you manage stress, control weight or helping you to relax. All those things can easily be done without smoking. All you are doing is feeding a nicotine addiction, plain and simple.
So what are you going to do; what are you waiting for? Today is the day for you to start over again and take back control of you life!
