The most important tool that is going to help you stop smoking is knowing why you want to quit. You should have already made your list but if for some reason you haven’t put it on paper where you can see it often you should do that now. When your mind is screaming at you to “just have one” you need to have something in place to quiet that voice, even if it is only for a little bit.
Some of the biggest reasons people choose to stop smoking is because they want to feel in control of their lives, they want to save money, have better health, set a good example to their children and protect their family from the effects of secondhand smoke.
Don’t wait for a heart attack to find the motivation to stop smoking; find reasons to quit before you have no choice.
